Tomorrow Night: Winter benefit filled with art, music, poetry

Tomorrow, Dec. 12th, The San Diego Art Institute is hosting a winter cocktail benefit at the Institute’s Balboa Park location. The benefit is in honor of the Institute’s member, Claire Slattery. Artist Chuck McPherson will be emceeing.

The event will feature an array of visual art displays and four musical and dance performances. Ted Washington will also be one of three selected spoken word poets performing, which is sponsored by SDAI’s Poetry and Art series.

In conjunction, there is / will be an auction going on. What you’ll be bidding on: “unique art experiences.” Intriguing. It’s worth noting that all proceeds benefit SDAI’s Youth Education and Outreach Programs as well as exhibition opportunities for Southern California artists. Worthy causes indeed.
