Bio:
J. StarLitWriter believes in the power of healing through storytelling. Her writing is published in more than 55 (maybe 60?) books, most recently The San Diego Poetry Annual. But J.’s real claim to fame is that her triumphs and failures have been broadcast widely on TV and in theaters across North America—including in an award-winning film adapted from her true story. For her, writing is cathartic, and she enjoys the reflection and connection that come with sharing it out loud.
J. cohosts San Diego’s True Stories Wanted storytelling open mic.
