You can register (SDPA at Point Loma Library Registration) or just show up! Poets with a poem in this year’s anthology will have priority at the mic. However, if you haven’t published with us and would like to read, by all means come and sign up on the evening of the event or email mkklam@gmail.com. Readers will present one lengthier poem or two short ones. If you would like to purchase the anthology, we will have copies available at the show.

In celebration of National Poetry Month, this program will, once again, present readings from the latest San Diego Poetry Annual. This volume contains as many as 350 poems from the best poets in San Diego County. It includes special sections for Poems from Juvenile Hall, Native Poets, Poet Laureate Poems of Resilience, and the Steve Kowit Poetry Prize 2021. There will be a bilingual volume, Pozol, with poems written in Spanish and translated into English, and a 2021 edition of the Kids! SDPA.

The San Diego Poetry Annual is now part of the permanent collection of every college and university
library in the San Diego region. Each edition is also donated to San Diego public libraries.
