Santa Catalina

“What a year of travel it has been! NYC the beginning of January, San Francisco in April, a month long road trip to Chicago with lots of stops on the way there and back that included Portland, OR, San Francisco again in October, drives back and forth to LA during the year and to wrap 2010 up a trip to Santa Catalina. This was by far the hardest of my trips because of my fear of going out to sea beyond the sight of land. I watched the mainland recede from view as we departed and anxiously watched for the island to appear as we approached Avalon. Santa Catalina is beautiful and I will be back for a longer stay.”
