Stoked to have Anjuli Nunn as our featured artist.
Anjuli Nunn is a poet based out of San Diego. She has been writing poetry for several decades, and got started at the age of 14. Poetry was a way for her to express her feelings, for which she didn’t have other outlets. She was experiencing depression at the time but didn’t know it. Fast forward to her late 30s she has dabbled in other creative endeavors such as photography and painting. She has a long history of volunteering with various organizations. She is unashamed of her history of having been in an abusive relationship, which is why, in addition to writing poems about racism and women’s rights, she also puts her voice to topics such as trauma, abuse, depression, and rape. She has an innate passion for helping people.
An open mic follows.
