West Coast Drawing in Las Vegas
The celebration continues in Las Vegas as the anniversary exhibition West Coast Drawing at 20 Years moves on to the Sahara West Library Gallery. This space is awesome and recommend making a visit to see the show and the library. Libraries have been some of my favorite places nearly my entire life.
West Coast Drawing’s mission is to highlight the importance of drawing; its diversity, its technical challenge, and its standard-bearing excellence in the arts. They showcase the best and brightest in rendering media, and engage in dialog with others on the evolving nature of drawing.
Members are among the most stellar artists on the California West Coast working in drawing media. They come together for mutual inspiration, exhibition and to raise the bar for drawing. Membership is juried, and standards are high. Only a third of applicants have been accepted.
The group was founded in 2003, created to reflect the ambitions and the quality reputations of their members. Each member of West Coast Drawing conducts a productive professional art career apart from the activities in this organization. The group is a showcase for a broad range of techniques and media for what they consider drawing.
