Raymond Camacho a.k.a, ‘The Coquí Poet’, is a Gay Puerto Rican Poetivist who writes for the decolonization of Puerto Rico, and to raise awareness about the systematic injustices of Black Lives and LGBTQ+ victims of Domestic Violence. Graduating from CUNY Hunter College, Raymond obtained a dual degree in Creative Writing and Africana Puerto Rican Latino Studies. Raymond can be found performing Spoken Word at The Nuyorican Poets Cafe, with goals to return to Puerto Rico in hopes of honoring his ancestors and helping free his people.
