Celebrate the sunset, surf, and sea with a night of poetry! On Tuesday, August 6th at the Central Library Shiley Special Events Suite from 6-7:30PM, local artists and authors will come together for a panel, music, and refreshments, all hosted by SDPA’s Michael Klam. All attendees will have an opportunity to take home a prize from the Friends of the Library, including a custom designed “Poetry in Ocean” surfboard by internationally acclaimed board shaper Hank Warner. Opportunity drawing will also include prizes from our generous and arts-loving sponsors listed below.
Featured authors/surfers/photographers/artists/musicians/ocean lovers include: Jane Muschenetz, Katie Manning, Carly Marie DeMento, Fernando Phillipi, and Scott Bass along with music from Alvino and the Dwells.
