On July 26, all participating poets will compete in the first round. Ten will compete in the second (elimination) round. And the top 3 will go head to head in the third round to take the dough: $300 for 1st Place; $150 for 2nd; and $50 for 3rd.

What is a poetry slam? Poetry Slam, Inc. explains: A poetry slam is a competitive event in which poets perform their work and are judged by members of the audience. Typically, the host or another organizer selects the judges, who are instructed to give numerical scores (on a zero to 10 or one to 10 scale) based on the poets’ content and performance.
Gill Sotu and Ben Chung will provide live music. There will be treats and beverages as always. Please contact host, Michael Klam, with any questions: 619-957-3264 (cell) or 619-236-0011 (museum).
