Hello Lauren Villa

Puna Press has a new author!
Her name is Lauren Villa. Lauren was reading poetry at an open mic with a friend where I informed her that I hosted a poetry reading and open mic and was a partner in a small publishing house. She and her friend attended Palabra. Afterwards she forwarded me a manuscript for a chapbook to review. We read the manuscript and all thought it was strong and daring writing and we wanted to work with her on developing the project into a book. That was in 2018.

Well time flies and we were busy with books that were already scheduled for 2018 and 2019 and the project was put aside. January of 2020 I saw Lauren read again at an open mic and she inquired what was the plan. We had given her great response but never followed up. We decided to publish the book in 2020. That was before COVID-19.

There should be no waiting.
