Emily Lu Gao AKA Emdash is a San Diego grown 2nd generation Chinese American poet who has a fondness of verbs. She hopes sharing her stories can not only be a form of healing for herself but for others. Her hope is that she can bring love, justice and peace with everything she creates. Aside from poetry, she also enjoys working in journalism, speaking Chinglish with her family and telling dad jokes.
