Bio:
Cora Grey Huot is a poet, artist, and hiking itinerant who began using poetry and creative expression at the age of seven as a means of processing stress and coping. They are a passionate writer who engages with the world like a leaf floating downstream. Every beauty and suffering that exist in their life are equally cherished and justly used in their creative process.
In 2023, they self-published four poetry collections and started attending spoken word events in the San Diego region. Through this evolution, their work has transformed from simple reflections written on the trail to long-form poems that touch more deeply upon their experiences and mental health challenges. The most common themes of their work today reflect the dualities persistent and pervasive throughout life’s transient nature.
Cora’s goal is to use their art to bridge barriers and share the commonality between people, place, and planet. You can follow Cora on Instagram @sunbeammachine. For publications, use the link listed in their profile.
