Moved my art studio out of my residence and into an art gallery studio space. I’ve been a member of the Escondido Arts Partnership Municipal Gallery for close to fifteen years. When there recently I told the gallery director that my landlord had passed and that the apartment building I lived in was being sold and that I would probably need to relocate but was worried about the storage of the art that I’ve collected and my own works. Chrisanne told me that the small studio space had just become available and it was within my budget. It also included two walls to display my work. Whoohoo!

So I’m not using the space for storage but for doing art. It’s been great. I didn’t know I needed the separation. It is reinvigorating. Now when in the studio I’m focused. Who knew that driving 30 minutes to the studio would be this good.
