Recently returned from the Bay Area, Ariella Pinedo is a poet whose work delves into the complexities of being a first-generation Mexican American. A 2024 fellow of the Bay Area’s Rooted & Written Fellowship, she invites readers to reflect on the intersections of race, language, and heritage, while honoring the strength and resilience of those who navigate multiple cultural worlds. Her poetry has been featured in various literary magazines and anthologies. 

As Ariella shares her poetry, we are reminded of the power of words to bridge generations and cultures. Her presence here underscores the enduring spirit of our community and the ongoing dialogue between past and present.
