Hello, Mr. Klam. I got a sweet retirement gig teaching at Southwestern College at the National City HEC. It’s Reading 158 which is teaching my people how to be ready for 115. I really love it. It goes right to the social justice, education leveling I am dedicated to, and because I only teach one class I can give these guys my WHOLE BIG BRAIN! Anyhow, Mr. poet laureate of my heart, I am teaching some of your poems from Emma… and I know they’ll ALL want your book. Should I order it from the bookstore or have them check it on Amazon (the more democratic choice, but I support starving, genius poets.) I’m going to read your work the best I can, but I would LOOOVE a reading if your could ever make it. OR i could give extra credit for attending one of your readings. These kids don’t know how powerful poetry is. Help me show them. Love you, Maggie the Matriot.
